Fashion and Food: Gabbi’s Pet Boutique Offers Handmade Fashions and Allergy-Friendly Food for Your Fur Baby

Thirteen years ago, Angie Lilly began sewing outfits and accessories for her sweet dog, Gabbi, a “morkie” (Maltese/Yorkie). Her creations soon gained popularity with friends and people in the community. Angie discovered her other dog had food allergies and began exploring new options for coping and nutrition. A year later she decided to open Gabbi’s Pet Boutique, offering upscale pet supplies, with a focus on holistic and nutritious products and her own pet fashion line.

“I love animals. It’s very rewarding when someone has a sick pet and we’re able to help with a food change,” said Angie. “It’s a ‘feel good’ place.”

The boutique began downtown and later moved to Henderson’s main road for a larger storefront.

“We loved the feel of our downtown location on 2nd Street but after seven years, we’d outgrown the space,” explained Angie. “This location offers more space and room for events.”

On North Green Street, Gabbi’s Pet Boutique has seen a boost in traffic, where more than 40,000 cars pass by regularly.

Owning a small business brings flexibility but it also brings a lot of challenges, according to Angie.

“It can be very trying, at times very scary, but it’s me, it reflects who I am. I feel like I’m giving back, educating people,” she explained.

Gabbi’s offers pet training classes, events, delivery and pickup options and has a knowledgeable staff to help you find the best products for your furry friends.

“We have the best customers,” Angie said.

Gabbi’s Pet Boutique is located at 801 North Green Street in Henderson.
